Board of Education
The Iredell-Statesville Schools Board of Education holds its regular meeting at 6:00 p.m. on the second Monday of each month. Board meetings are held in the conference room of the Career Academy and Technical School located at 350 Old Murdock Road in Troutman, North Carolina. Committee of the Whole meetings are at 6:00 p.m. on the first Monday of each month and will be held once at each of our traditional high schools and in the conference room of the Career Academy and Technical School in Troutman. The board of education reserves the right to change the meeting schedule for holidays, scheduling conflicts, and as other needs arise. Any changes to the board's schedule will be communicated to the local media, as well as noted on the district's homepage.
Public comment is welcome at the regular board of education meetings, however, you are reminded to limit your comments to three minutes and sign up prior to the meeting by contacting the clerk to the board at 704-924-2028 or by clicking here.
***In order to follow board procedure and policy and follow the Governor's Covid-19 procedures, individuals wishing to make a public comment to the board will sign up by calling Kelly McCarraher at 704-924-2028. Individuals must sign up by 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 11th or when arriving at the meeting prior to the start of public comment. All speakers will be seated in a nearby room where the meeting will be broadcast live. At the proper time, individual speakers will be escorted to the board meeting room to speak to the board in person. In order to maintain the no more than ten person per assembly rule, only one speaker will be allowed in the board meeting at any time. Normal public comment rules apply.***
The Iredell-Statesville Schools Board of Education will provide leadership for a system of schools that enables all students to achieve their academic potential and lead productive and rewarding lives.
