Iredell Statesville Schools School Nutrition has been approved for the 2025-2026 School Year to operate several schools under the CEP (Community Eligibility Provision). Unfortunately, not all schools qualify for this program.

What is CEP (Community Eligibility Provision)? CEP is a program in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Program that allows schools to serve meals to all students at no cost, without collecting individual Free and Reduced applications. To qualify a school must have a high percentage of students who are eligible for free meals based on their participation in other programs such as SNAP and TANF.

CEP approved Schools are: Celeste Elementary, Central Elementary, Cloverleaf Elementary, Cool Springs Elementary, East Iredell Elementary, East Iredell Middle, Harmony Elementary, N. B. Mills Elementary, North Iredell High, Oakwood IB, Scotts Elementary, North Iredell Middle, Northview Academy, Statesville High, Sharon Elementary, Shepherd Elementary, Third Creek Elementary, Third Creek Middle, Troutman Elementary, Troutman Middle, Union Grove Elementary, West Iredell High, West Iredell Middle, and Discovery.

Non-CEP Schools are: The Brawley Middle, Coddle Creek Elementary, Lake Norman High, Lake Norman Elementary, Lakeshore Elementary, Lakeshore Middle, South Iredell High, Woodland Heights Elementary, and Woodland Heights Middle.

Families of students enrolled at Non-CEP schools must fill out a Free/Reduced Application in order to be eligible for Free or Reduced Price Meals.  Qualifying for Free or Reduced Price Meals may mean students also qualify for certain school and testing fee waivers. *Students moving from a CEP school to a Non-CEP school are eligible for free meals for the first 30 days of the new school year or until a new eligibility determination is made, whichever comes first.
