Learn and Lead Sessions
Learn and Lead Sessions are provided to Middle and High School Gifted/Advanced Learners and their parents. These sessions focus on a variety of topics that are applicable to the unique learning needs of high performing students. These sessions will be offered virtually for the 2020-2021 school year. The sessions will range from academic topics such as resources for math, science and reading advancement too social and emotional topics such as perfectionism. Sessions will also include hearing from college admissions and other college representatives as well as learning about career pathways. Information will be shared prior to each session through your child's school and through district communication on how to login and what time the event will be offered!

Session 2 October 29th! Appalachian State University Virtual Tour! Presentation available beginning OCTOBER 29 This presentation is intended for both middle and high school students. The virtual tour is narrated by an Appalachian State student and offers its viewers information pertaining to some of the degree programs that are offered, as well as student life on campus. This presentation will be available beginning on October 29. You many access it from the system’s main website, under the Learn and Lead tab found on the AIG Department page. We hope you find this tour both enjoyable and beneficial as you begin your journey of selecting a college. This tour is recorded and will remain available for the school-year.

Session 1-The first Learn and Lead session for 2020-2021 will be held on September 29th for Middle Schoolers and October 1st for High Schoolers! Our guest will be from the North Carolina School of Science and Math! He will be sharing information regarding their residential programs and other free offerings for advanced learners.
