The beginning of the school can be overwhelming. What forms to complete? Where to find x, y, and z document? Who to contact for questions? As your Digital Teaching and Learning team, we want to provide you with a quick reference guide to manage your digital needs for the start of the school year.

POWERTEACHER PRO

PowerTeacher Pro:
  • Visit our PowerSchool Site to learn how to:

    • Claim your NCEdCloud Account

    • Using and Getting Started with PowerSchool / PowerTeacher Pro Resources

CANVAS

Canvas:
  • Access Canvas: You will access Canvas through NCEdCloud.

    • Log-in by going to https://my.ncedcloud.org

    • Use your UID (10 digit number) and password

    • Click on the Red Canvas Icon (I-SS instance of Canvas). Note: the Blue Icon is DPI's instance of Canvas. You will only see courses if you are enrolled in courses.
       

  • Request a Sandbox Course (one per subject):

    • Access Canvas

    • Click the Help Icon at the bottom of the Global Navigation Menu

    • Click Request Empty Course

    • Complete Form (select Sandbox in the appropriate entry)

    • Give course a title following this convention: Last Name - Subject - Sandbox
       

  • Growing with Canvas (a self-paced course to learn the basics of Canvas)

    • Access Canvas

    • Select Help Icon at the bottom of the Global Navigation Menu

    • Click on Growing with Canvas course link

    • Self-enroll in this course

    • Learn the features and functions of Canvas in a self-paced environment

    • Apply what you are learning in your Sandbox course

    • Earn badges for Canvas knowledge and skills
       

  • Get Canvas Help

    • Access Canvas

    • Select Help Icon at the bottom of the Global Navigation Menu

    • Search the Canvas Guides

    • Report a Problem. Provide details of the problem including the course URL.

APPLE ID FOR YOUR MACBOOK OR IPADS

Apple ID for your MacBook or iPads

We DO NOT want you to use your personal Apple ID on your devices.  You will need to create an Apple ID with your ISS email.
