Testing and Accountability

Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Testing and Accountability Department to provide decision-making information, and support in the areas of student achievement, instruction, curriculum, and accountability. The department will implement the North Carolina Testing Program by providing NCDPI policies, guidelines, and procedures for ethical testing practices that meet federal, state, and local requirements. Data systems and analysis will provide information to improve instruction, educational decisions, and professional development opportunities.
