How Does the School Work?
Families choose from one of two primary learning paths:
Students enrolled in classroom learning benefit from group instruction facilitated by a licensed teacher and an assistant. Lessons are tailored to each student's grade and ability level. Group assignments encourage collaboration and build a sense of community. Families are encouraged to supplement learning at home through resources provided by iAcademy or from their own materials.
The following is a sample schedule noting the times classroom learners may attend. This is subject to change to fit the needs of iAcademy families and growing enrollment.
K-2 Class: Monday and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
3-5 Class: Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Mixed K-5 Class: Monday through Wednesday from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.
Optional Spanish and Art Class: Thursdays 12:30 to 2:14 p.m.
Students enrolled in online learning benefit from a customized digital learning plan completed at home. The program assesses each student's level within each subject and guides them through engaging lessons accordingly. iAcademy teachers check in regularly to offer guidance as needed.
Regardless of which learning path a family chooses, every iAcademy student has access to personal tutoring with the supervising teacher during non-class time.
iAcademy Elementary follows the NC State Curriculum for Reading, Mathematics, and Science. Families are encouraged to supplement studies at home as desired.
Enrichment opportunities include optional weekly Spanish & Art classes along with frequent activity days and field trips.
